”I’m Trying To Make Some Good Soul Music”
Actor Tristan Wilds, who first rose to fame as ‘Michael Lee’ on HBO’s acclaimed series “The Wire,” and who also starred on “90210″ as ‘Dixon Wilson,’ has announced that he will be releasing an R&B mixtape. Wilds has already released some songs to YouTube, including “Runaround” and “Fall 4 Her.” “I guess it will be hybrid [rapping and singing],” Wilds told AllHipHop. “It’s just another creative outlet for me, so I think whatever comes out and whatever I feel sounds good, whether it’s singing, or whether it’s rapping [that's what you will see]. Even if it’s poetry that comes out, it’s just something that will fill your soul up. I’m trying to make some good soul music.” “I’m still just trying to iron out everything name-wise, but I promise it’s gonna be a first look or first listen and I just want to get everybody’s opinion on how my mind works,” Wilds added. “It’s a good look into how my mind works.” |

As Many As Three Albums Expected From Big Boi & Dre 3000
It looks like legendary hip hop act Outkast will be reuniting sometime in 2012. It was announced today that the celebrated Atlanta duo of Dre 3000 and Big Boi will be releasing solo efforts in 2011 and an official Outkast album will be dropping the following year. âOutkast is on track to release a new album by early next year,â an industry source told HipHopWired. âBoth Dre and Big are working on solo projects; they want those out by the end of 2011.â Big Boi has already reportedly begun work on his sophomore album Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader,and he has stated for months that Andre 3000′s highly-anticipated solo debut would be released prior to Daddy Fat Sax…. |
